Qais Al-Dhalei wins the presidency of the Arab Rugby Union by acclamation

DUBAI, 16 JANUARY / WAM / The General Secretariat of the Arab Rugby Union announced today, Thursday, that His Excellency Qais Abdullah Al Dhali, President of the Asian Rugby Union, has won the position of President of the Arab Rugby Union by acclamation for a new term extending from 2025 to 2028.
The General Secretariat confirmed that this victory will be approved during the Federation’s General Assembly held next February 13 in the Egyptian city of Alexandria, on the sidelines of the Arab Rugby Championship.
It was also announced that all candidates for the positions of the Executive Committee won by acclamation, and they are: Arif Belkhairia from Tunisia as Vice-Chairman, Abdullah Jamal from Lebanon as Vice-Chairman, Rabih Al-Masry from Palestine as an appointed member, Hisham Obaja from Morocco as a member, Ahmed Madani from Syria as a member, and Mohamed Ahmed Nasr. Fouad from Egypt, member.
The Executive Committee aims to lead the Arab Rugby Union and determine the strategic roles that will shape the future of the game in the Arab countries during the coming period.
The elected and appointed members will assume their duties from next February 13 until the General Assembly convenes in 2028.
