"Emirates Accounting" Launches a program to appoint platform supervisors "duty"

Abu Dhabi, January 17 / WAM / The Emirates Accounting Authority announced the launch of a special program to appoint specialized supervisors for the “Wajib” platform, in all regulated entities, with the aim of facilitating the process of reporting any violations affecting public resources in government agencies, in the agency’s keenness to achieve complete integration. The agency stressed that the success of this program depends on the full support and fruitful cooperation of all concerned parties and individuals, based on the belief in shared responsibility and the lofty goal of protecting public resources and ensuring their sustainability for future generations.
In this context, the agency organized a training workshop to familiarize supervisors with their responsibilities and educate them about the need to commit to carrying out the tasks assigned to them efficiently and effectively.
The “Wajib” platform, designated for subject entities and launched by the Emirates Accounting Authority, is an innovative communication channel between the authority and supervisors of federal subject entities, to receive reports related to financial and administrative violations that fall within the authority’s jurisdiction.
During the workshop, the official spokesman for the Emirates Accounting Authority reviewed the tasks and responsibilities assigned to the supervisors of the “Wajib” platform in the entities subject to oversight, the most prominent of which are: submitting the required reports and data to the agency accurately and transparently, documenting the facts related to the reports and presenting them completely and clearly, and fully cooperating with the agency. To respond to any additional inquiries or requests.
The importance of adhering to the confidentiality of information exchanged between supervisors and the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Sector in the agency was emphasized, and the types of violations that should be referred to the agency were clarified, in addition to an explanation of the guarantees, incentives, and powers that the agency has while dealing with reports.
