Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police: January 17 embodies a history of proactive approach to facing challenges

ABU DHABI, 17th JANUARY / WAM / His Excellency Major General Ahmed Saif bin Zaytoun Al Muhairi, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, confirmed that January 17th embodies an important date for the United Arab Emirates in its success in applying its proactive approach in confronting challenges, protecting society, and achieving its vision, being a global leader in Sustaining security and safety, in addition to the cohesion of its people, citizens and residents, and their solidarity and cooperation with the wise leadership, which has established in them feelings of unity, loyalty, solidarity, and chivalry.

He said that the attacks committed by the terrorist Houthi militias in 2022 constituted a flagrant violation of international and humanitarian law, and a real threat to vital civilian installations and energy supplies, and that the UAE’s chivalry was sufficient to overcome all of this thanks to the wisdom in its positions and the rallying of its people around its leadership and the strength of its political, security and economic capabilities. Its response was quick, decisive, and rational, and it was realized by the militias and those behind them, and it reaped results immediately after the attack occurred, which the state dealt with transparently. Unprecedented international cooperation and solidarity, widespread condemnation from countries and organizations, appreciation for their roles, and enhancement of their reputation, which was reflected positively in their sacrifices and roles in international forums.

His Excellency pointed out the pride of the Abu Dhabi Police General Command in the UAE’s approach and its success with pioneering distinction in combining security competence and proactive diplomacy in the face of challenges, which strengthened the country’s position as a regional leader capable of protecting its national security and contributing to achieving regional stability, pointing out that chivalry is towards brother, neighbor and brother. It is one of the Emirati political principles based on supporting our brothers and defending their country in the face of any dangers that threaten them.
