The Emirates Red Crescent distributes winter clothing to 7,500 beneficiaries in Kazakhstan

Abu Dhabi, January 19 / WAM / The Emirates Red Crescent Authority implemented a winter relief campaign for those affected by the severe cold wave and heavy snow that struck large areas in the Republic of Kazakhstan, as part of the humanitarian authority’s efforts to distribute winter clothing in a number of countries, and to continue its relief operations that aim To mitigate the repercussions of these difficult climate conditions on the most vulnerable groups.
The Authority confirmed that its plan this year revolves around expanding the base of beneficiaries of its operations in many sisterly and friendly countries.
Through its office in Kazakhstan, the Red Crescent provided humanitarian aid to 7,500 beneficiaries affected by the cold wave in a number of regions, including the provinces of North Kazakhstan, East Kazakhstan, Poveldarsky, Kostinay, Krakendinsky, and Abay.
The aid included relief supplies, food parcels, and winter clothes for the targeted groups of people of determination, orphans, children, the elderly, and poor families.
The Authority renewed its keenness to reach the largest possible segment of affected families in the areas afflicted by the cold wave, stressing that it will make every effort to achieve the objectives of the campaign, which are to reach the targeted people in their areas, and provide the supplies that will help them mitigate the consequences of these difficult exceptional circumstances.
