المملكة: Meteorology: severe weather fluctuations and rain of varying intensity until Saturday


Today, Monday, most regions of the Kingdom are exposed to heavy rain that will continue until next Saturday, accompanied by falling winds and Flood flow and the possibility of tornadoes forming in some locations.

Thunderstorms

The Center stated that the regions of Tabuk, Al-Jawf, Hail, and the northern borders will be affected by moderate to heavy thunderstorms until next Thursday.

He added that the situation in those areas includes the governorates of Tabuk, Taima, Neum, Duba, and Al-Wajh. And Umluj, in addition to Qurayyat, Tabarjal, Sakaka, and Dumat al-Jandal.

It pointed out that the effects extended towards Hail, Al-Shamli, Baqa’, Al-Jadar, and Muwaqq, as well as Arar, Rafha, Turaif, and Al-Uwaiqila during the same time period.

Medina weather

The report indicated that the situation was concentrated in Medina and the governorates of Yanbu, Al-Ula, Khaybar, Al-Ais, Wadi Al-Far’ and Badr, with Its heaviness intensified on Wednesday and Thursday evening, extending to Al-Mahd and Al-Hanakiyah.

The Center touched on the impact of continuous rains in Al-Baha and Asir until the end of the week, intensifying mid-week in Al-Baha and late in Asir, to include Baljurashi, Al-Mandaq, Al-Makhwah, Al-Namas, Mahayil, Khamis Mushayt, Ahad Rufaidah, Bisha, and Dhahran Al-Janoub.

The report indicated that the Jazan region was exposed to heavy, intense rains on Thursday and Friday. Targeting the governorates of Al-Raith, Harub, Fayfa, Al-Arda, and Al-Harath, and extending to Jizan, Sabya, Abu Arish, Samtah, Al-Tuwal, and Farasan at the end of the week.

Light rain

He added that the Qassim region and the governorates of Buraidah, Al-Rass, Al-Bukayriyah, Al-Madhab, Al-Nabhaniya, Al-Asiyah, and Uqlat Al-Suqur will witness sporadic precipitation turning into moderate and heavy on Thursday.

Weather of the Eastern Region

The Center pointed out that the Eastern Region, Hafr Al-Batin, and Al-Khafji were affected by heavy rains, while the situation intensified on Wednesday and Thursday in Dammam, Al-Khobar, Qatif, Jubail, Ras Tanura, Abqaiq, Al-Nairyah, and Al-Ahsa.
