Participation in Davos reflects the Kingdom’s global leadership

The Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources confirmed that the Kingdom’s participation in the annual meeting in Davos 2025 embodies its leadership position on the international scene and its pivotal role in leading the industrial and mining transformation towards a sustainable future.
He explained that sustainability represents one of the main pillars of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, as it works to achieve it through specific initiatives such as “Green Saudi Arabia” and “Green Middle East,” which aim to confront environmental challenges, reduce carbon emissions, and promote afforestation, which reflects its commitment to achieving carbon neutrality and achieving Comprehensive and sustainable development.

Industrial and mining transformation strategy

Al-Khorayef said: “The Kingdom is building its industrial and mining transformation strategy on three basic pillars, including strengthening strategic partnerships with the private sector and international institutions to develop innovative and sustainable solutions.
Also, investing in digital transformation through Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and 3D printing to raise production efficiency, reduce emissions, and create new economic opportunities. Developing human capital by qualifying national competencies to lead economic and social transformations and achieve sustainable development goals.

Diversify sources of income

The Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources explained that the Kingdom is also working to develop a regulatory and legislative environment that is attractive to local and foreign investments, especially in the mining sector, which represents an essential pillar for diversifying sources of income and promoting economic growth.
He pointed out the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s interest in developing vital metal industries used in future technologies, such as electric car batteries and renewable energy. Which strengthens its position as a global center for these strategic industries.
He stressed that the Kingdom seeks, through these efforts, to achieve a balance between economic growth and environmental protection, which contributes to enhancing the stability of the global economy and laying the foundations for a more comprehensive and sustainable future.
He stated that the Kingdom’s participation in Davos 2025 represents an opportunity to strengthen international partnerships and exchange experiences with various countries of the world, supporting efforts to find innovative solutions to common challenges, and consolidating the Kingdom’s role as an influential force in shaping future transformations.
