Hamdan bin Mubarak praises the development of the UAE-Qatari Super Championship and congratulates the winning teams
Abu Dhabi, January 19 / WAM / His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, President of the Emirates Football Association, praised the development of the Emirati-Qatari Super Championship and the increase in the number of teams participating in it, stressing that this qualitative shift will contribute to raising the level of the tournament technically and publicly.
His Excellency stressed that this tournament will bring more benefits to Emirati and Qatari football, and contribute to developing the elements of the game in our two brotherly countries.
The President of the Emirates Football Association pointed out that this tournament, which is being held between eight Emirati and Qatari clubs, will enhance the presence of our two countries on the global tourism and sports map, as football tournaments today play a major role in tourism and the economy, and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and friendship between peoples and countries.
His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak appreciated the role played by the fans in this tournament, praising at the same time the distinguished media follow-up of all matches.
His Excellency said: “Holding this tournament is an incentive for football teams in the Emirates and Qatar and pushes their administrations to provide a suitable environment, qualify their players, and hone the talents of future stars.”
His Excellency the President of the Federation also appreciated the efforts of all those responsible for the tournament, congratulating the Shabab Al-Ahly team on winning the Challenge Shield title, Al-Nasr for achieving the Super Cup, Al-Wasl for the Super Shield title, and Al-Wahda for achieving the Challenge Cup title, and wished the sister Qatari teams further success and progress.
