Documented with video clips.. Moscow accuses Ukraine of killing 7 civilians in Kursk

The civilians were found in the basement of an apartment building in the village of Russkoe Porechnoye, which is located in the Sudzhansky district, according to the Moscow Central Investigative Committee.
A terrorist act against a peaceful population
Commission spokeswoman Svetlana Petrenko described the deaths as a “terrorist act against a peaceful population” and said those responsible would face justice.
Russian media had previously published video clips showing a basement in which Russian soldiers pointed to the bodies of elderly victims who showed signs of torture, and then they were shot while their hands were tied.
The content of the blurry video has not been independently verified, and there has been no initial reaction from the Ukrainian side.
A violation of international humanitarian law
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova described the killing as a gross violation of international humanitarian law.
“These atrocities are further evidence of the terrorist and neo-Nazi positions of the Kiev regime,” she said.
It accused those responsible for the incident of carrying out a “cannibal massacre” as a result of frustration over Ukrainian losses on the front.
She added, “The West also bears responsibility for the crime after providing weapons and money to Kiev.”
Ukrainian counterattack
Ukrainian forces launched a surprise counterattack in Russia’s Kursk region in August, occupying several villages.
This attack aims to improve the Ukrainian situation before negotiating an end to the war that began nearly 3 years ago.
Kiev accused the Russian armed forces of committing hundreds of war crimes during the conflict, including the mass killing of civilians.
