The Chairman of the Entertainment Authority announces sponsorship of the Riyadh season of the 2025 Drone World Cup

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), Counselor Turki bin Abdul Mohsen Al Al-Sheikh, announced the sponsorship of the Riyadh season for the 2025 Drone Racing World Cup, hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, during the period from January 23 to 25, and organized by the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones. In cooperation with the International Federation of Air Sports.

In the championship, which is held in the “Boulevard City” area, elite pilots from more than 50 countries around the world compete in exciting races at speeds of up to 350 kilometers per hour, to win prizes exceeding one million riyals.

Inaugural tournament

This is the inaugural Drone Racing World Cup, and it consists of a series of rounds held in the leading countries in the field of drone racing, awarding titles to the winners based on the three best results during the year.
The Kingdom is hosting the tournament this year for the first time, after the previous edition concluded in South Korea last October, while it will be organized this year in several countries, including South Korea, Italy, Germany, Spain, and Sweden.
The Drone Racing World Cup Championship was launched for the first time in 2016, and since then it has dazzled its fans around the world with exciting rounds that combine emerging technology with sporting excitement.
