Stefan Arand wins a championship "Sharjah Grand Prix" At the end of the racing season "Formula 1"

Sharjah, December 21 / WAM / Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, President of the Emirates Marine Sports Federation, was crowned this evening the champions of the “Sharjah Grand Prix” round, where Stefan Arand, captain of boat No. (18) of the Sharjah team of the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club, won first place, ahead of Grant Trask, captain of boat No. (2) of the Swedish team, who came second, in addition to Rusty White, captain of boat No. (17) for the Sharjah team, which finished in third place.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan was also crowned champion of the World Drivers’ Championship, which was won by the first three places, namely Sean Torrente, captain of boat No. (4) of the Victory team of the Dubai International Marine Club, who came in first place, followed by Jonas Andersson, captain of boat No. (1) of the Swedish team, in second place, and Rusty White, captain of boat No. (17) of the Sharjah team of the Sharjah International Marine Club, in place. Third.

His Excellency Khalid Jassim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, and Niccolò di San Germano, founder of the championship, participated in the crowning of the champions, at the conclusion of the Formula 1 speedboat racing season, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Chairman of the Executive Council, on Khalid Lake, which was organized by the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, and 20 contestants from all over the world competed for the title. Elite 10 different international teams.

Stefan Arand succeeded in dominating the course of the second half of the “Road to Sharjah – Sharjah Grand Prix” race, which extended over 32 laps for a distance of 2.05 km, crossing the finish line in first place, after former world champion Jonas Andersson was leading the first half of the race, before falling to sixth place in the “Road to Sharjah – Sharjah Grand Prix” race.
