The business confidence index in Ajman will reach 135 points in 2024
Ajman, January 20 / WAM / Business activity in the Emirate of Ajman recorded remarkable growth during the year 2024 in terms of the increasing number of economic licenses and the rise in the business community confidence index, which reflects the emirate’s position as one of the leading economic destinations for investors, and maintaining sustainable growth in the business environment.
Statistics issued by the Department of Economic Development in Ajman showed an increase in the business community confidence index in its current and future branches, recording 135 points, which indicates the optimism of companies and investors regarding the economic situation, and the opportunities for growth and expansion in various sectors, especially the real estate activities sector, which came at the forefront of sectors with optimism. And confident.
The statistics report issued by the department showed that the current situation index reached 114.5 points, which shows confidence in the current economic situation, and the future situation, which reflects optimism about the future economic conditions in the emirate, which in turn scored 155.8 points.
This increase coincided with a noticeable increase in the number of new and renewed economic licenses across various sectors, which reflects the attractive business environment in Ajman. The emirate witnessed a growth of 28% in the number of industrial licenses issued, 25% in the number of commercial licenses issued, and 9% in professional licenses, with a growth rate of 16% in the number of licenses issued in 2024.
The report indicated an increase in renewal activity in 2024 to reach a total of 31,380 renewed licenses, with a growth rate of 10% compared to the previous year, which reflects the stability of the investment environment in the emirate, which also led to an increase in the total effective licenses by a rate of 9% at the end of the year.
His Excellency Saif Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Department of Economic Development in Ajman, confirmed that these exceptional results are the result of the department’s efforts to provide quality services and improve procedures to enable investors and entrepreneurs to achieve their aspirations in the emirate.
He said that these achievements reflect the vision of the Emirate of Ajman 2030 in achieving sustainable economic development, focusing on supporting vital sectors and enhancing the entrepreneurship environment, stressing the department’s keenness to continue developing its services to meet the aspirations of investors and advance economic growth in the emirate.
