Launching the “Emirates Youth Entrepreneurship Council”

The Federal Youth Foundation and the Ministry of Economy launched the “Emirates Youth Council for Entrepreneurship”, in the presence of Dr. Sultan bin Saif Al Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs, and Alia bint Abdullah Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Entrepreneurship, with the aim of activating the role of youth in promoting economic development, the competitiveness of national entrepreneurship, and contributing In achieving the goals of the National Youth Agenda 2031.
The Council aims to be an interactive platform to promote innovation and develop youth ideas in entrepreneurship, which contributes to achieving the UAE’s future vision, by organizing training programs to enable young people to support the private sector and enhance their awareness of the importance of this field, in addition to building cooperation networks with investors and government agencies. In addition to involving young entrepreneurs in local and international economic events to exchange experiences, learn about best global practices, and support youth projects to achieve sustainable economic diversification.
Sultan Al Neyadi stressed that supporting the wise leadership of young people in all fields, especially in entrepreneurship, reflects its keenness to enable them to contribute to sustainable national development, as dedicating their role in building a promising youth economic system will form a dynamic foundation established to achieve developmental excellence that supports the prosperity of society.
Sultan Al Neyadi added that the launch of the “Emirates Youth Council for Entrepreneurship” is in line with the directions of the National Youth Agenda 2031, especially through the economic axis concerned with ensuring that Emirati youth are major drivers and supporters of national economic development, and one of its most important areas of focus is supporting young entrepreneurs and promoting… Their readiness to enter the labor market, support their access to global markets, and give them a pivotal role in developing innovative ideas that support the national economy and open new horizons for growth, as the Council will work to build the capabilities of young people and provide an integrated environment that enables them to transform… Their ideas turn into successful projects that contribute to enhancing economic diversification, in line with the UAE’s ambitions to be a competitive global center for entrepreneurship.
For her part, Alia Al Mazrouei stressed that the UAE, thanks to the directives of the wise leadership, pays great attention to encouraging Emirati youth to engage in the sectors of entrepreneurship and small and medium enterprises, as they are one of the real bets for enhancing the growth and sustainability of the national economy, and creating generations capable of providing innovative solutions and pioneering projects that contribute In building a better future for the UAE, and in this context, when launching the new entrepreneurship system last November, we were keen to empower Emirati youth by announcing the “Emirates Youth Council” initiative. “Entrepreneurship,” which represents an important milestone in enhancing national economic competitiveness and providing more capabilities and opportunities for Emirati female and male entrepreneurs.
Al Mazrouei added: We will work through the upcoming Council meetings to provide training and awareness programs and launch specific initiatives to develop the capabilities of Emirati youth and provide them with the modern tools and expertise necessary to establish successful startup companies, especially since the year 2024 witnessed the launch of 25,000 small and medium-sized companies by Emirati youth. The “Emirates Youth Council for Entrepreneurship” includes a group of members who represent an elite group of young Emirati talents who possess distinguished abilities and extensive knowledge in the field of entrepreneurship. They are: Maryam Ahmed Al Mansouri, Manea Khalfan Al Naqbi, Yousef Ahmed Al Yousef, Moza Hassan Al Zaabi, Fatima Ahmed Al Musawi, Nouf Obaid Al Kindi, Shamma Hussein bin Hammad, Khaled Mansour Al Awadhi, Ahmed Ali Al Tamimi, Abdullah Hamad Al Darei, Latifa Issa bin Haider, Maryam Ali Al-Kass, Shamma Salem bin Hamila, and Abdullah Musabah Al-Kaabi, in order to work together to develop and implement plans that enhance the position of youth in the economic sector, as they presented a general vision of the Council’s most prominent future directions aimed at creating an integrated and stimulating environment, including innovative ideas for launching initiatives.
