The Siji Council in Fujairah highlights the achievements of Emirati women

Fujairah, January 23, 2017 – The Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi Council, in cooperation with the Fujairah District Development Foundation, within the “Community Councils”, organized a session entitled “Emirati Women between Challenges and Achievements” at the Siji Council in Fujairah, in the presence of a number of local community women.
Dr. Amira Lahbash, Director of the Zayed Educational Complex in Fujairah, recipient of the Prime Minister’s Medal, and Laila Al Yamahi, Arabic language teacher who received the Mohammed bin Zayed Award for Best Teacher, spoke at the session about the journey of Emirati women who were able to achieve leadership and achievements in various fields. Thanks to the continuous support of the wise leadership, which provided her with education and work opportunities in vital sectors.
The session highlighted many success stories of Emirati women in various specializations and fields and discussed the challenges facing Emirati women, such as achieving a balance between work and family life, and how government support and enabling policies contribute to overcoming these challenges.
His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Nayea Al Taniji, Director of the Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi Council, confirmed that in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, the Council is keen to shed light on the roles of Emirati women in various fields, and this session comes to exchange experiences and promote a culture of success.
