International stars participate in a race "Lee Tap Dubai" February 1 and 2
Dubai, January 23 / WAM / The Dubai Sports Council announced that it will host the first edition of the “Le Tab Dubai” bicycle race presented by the “Tour de France”, in cooperation with “Skoda”, on the first and second of next February, with the participation of a group of international riders who have previously… They win stages of the famous sporting event.
This came during a press conference held by the race organizing committee at the Dubai Sports Council, which revealed the participation of an elite group of international cycling stars, including Jan Sforada and Peter Fleets.
Ali Omar, Director of Sports Events Department at the Dubai Sports Council, confirmed that the month of February will witness the organization of six bicycle races at the international and local levels in Dubai.
He expressed his happiness at the addition of the “Le Tape Dubai” race to the list of distinguished international championships hosted by Dubai, pointing to its special value as it is linked to the “Tour de France”, one of the most prominent bicycle races in the world.
He explained that the race will bring together riders from different countries of the world and from the Emirates, competing on a unique, carefully designed track.
The race starts from the Dubai Design District, passing through several residential and tourist areas, all the way to the Al Marmoum area, which includes the largest natural reserve in the world with its international bicycle paths.
The route also includes passing through unique artificial lakes and the largest solar energy complex in the world, before reaching Expo City Dubai, which has become a global center for economic and sporting events.
