Cold weather increases the number of people visiting winter camps in Ras Al Khaimah

The winter camps along Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, at Exit 122, are witnessing an increasing demand from visitors who come to them at this time of year with the drop in temperatures, especially in the desert areas.

Winter camps in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah enjoy a tourist attraction based on the nostalgia of a large segment of the UAE population for the beautiful past, and the desire to return to the embrace of nature and be far from the cities and their noise.

Winter camps contribute to enhancing domestic tourism and providing an additional source of income for families and small business owners, such as restaurants and mobile cafes that provide their services to those visiting these camps.

Comfort and safety

The Ras Al Khaimah Municipality Department stressed the great importance of the winter camping season in the emirate, which witnesses increasing demand year after year, pointing to its efforts to provide various amenities and safety for those who go to winter camps in the emirate.

The municipality explained that the selection of the location of the temporary winter camps, in the current season, came after comprehensive studies in cooperation with the competent and concerned authorities, ensuring easy access to them by the camp owners and their guests to ensure the comfort of visitors, and provide security, safety and community safety factors, while preserving environmental and natural resources.

Before the start of the winter camping season, a group of concerned authorities in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah are joining forces with the aim of providing the highest levels of safety for those who go to winter camps, and preventing any kind of abuse that is harmful to the environment.
