The UAE is a major supporter of the efforts to develop and sustain education around the world

The UAE celebrates the “World Education Day”, which falls on January 24 of each year, in an expression of its firm belief in the value of education and its fundamental role in building generations and the progress of countries as the main driver of its development and development.
The UAE tops the list of supporters of international efforts to provide appropriate education in societies that suffer from difficult humanitarian conditions around the world based on its civilizational and humanitarian message that believes that education is a basic right for all human beings wherever they are.
In this context, the “Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Initiatives” Foundation, represented by the digital school, since last November, started the implementation of a project to support continuity programs in Lebanon, which targets with its first stage 40 thousand beneficiaries, within two tracks, the first path of digital education solutions, The second is the path of supporting the continuity of education in the displacement centers in Lebanon.
Digital School
The digital school has continued since its inception in 2020, its expansion, as it included more than 160 thousand beneficiaries, and provides its services in more than 13 countries, and has worked to train more than 2,500 digital teachers, while educational and training content is provided in four languages, namely Arabic, and English , French, and Spanish.
The adoption of the “Abu Dhabi Declaration” was one of the most prominent stations of the nineteenth conference of ministers responsible for higher education and scientific research in the Arab world, which was hosted by the UAE recently.
The “Abu Dhabi Declaration” presented a strategic framework for the development of the higher education and scientific research sector in the Arab world, and to enhance its role in preparing graduates who have the skills and competencies required to keep pace with the labor market variables.
The “Abu Dhabi Declaration” called for the establishment of academic incubators for innovation, the development of academic programs that focus on sustainability, and encourage joint research projects that depend on advanced technology.
Support of education accounts for an important aspect of the foreign aid of the UAE, for example, since 2018, the UAE has made $ 200 million contributions to “Global Partnership for Education”, with the aim of supporting the strategic plan for educational programs in developing countries until 2025.
Spread education at the international level
The influential role of the UAE in spreading education at the international level is evident through the establishment of schools and universities, or by providing grants and funds that help to provide education for all groups, and among the most prominent evidence of this is the contribution of many humanitarian bodies and institutions in the UAE in building thousands of schools about The world and training hundreds of thousands of male and female teachers.
The aid provided by the UAE to the relevant international organizations and the governments of the receiving countries for refugees contributes to alleviating the crisis of depriving refugees of education opportunities, for example the value of the aid they provided in the education sector, in response to the Syrian crisis and those affected by it during the period from 2012 to January 2019, towards 190.1 million dirhams “51.8 million dollars”, while the UAE is one of the most important countries in support of the efforts made by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees in the Near East “UNRWA” to help them implement its educational programs for male and female students.
Honorable vision
Education is an essential axis in the comprehensive forward -looking vision of the UAE, which recently witnessed the adoption of February 28 of each year as a day of education under the name “Emirati Day for Education”, which is the day when the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan witnessed “may God rest his soul” and his brothers are rulers The UAE graduated the first batch of teachers from Emirates University in 1982.
The occasion is the time when the UAE has continued efforts to improve the education sector, through the announcement of a new structure for the sector according to which the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research was established, the establishment of a general secretariat for the Education and Human Development Council, and the Emirates Foundation for School Education and the Federal Agency for Early Education with the Ministry of Education. Education.
The UAE has adopted a national framework for classifying higher education institutions in the country, and has also created a new system for financing the federal government higher education institutions that depend on the transition to the financing system through scholarships.
