Dubai Islamic begins issuing permits to distribute iftar meals to those who are fasting

The Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai has begun issuing permits to distribute Iftar meals for those who are fasting, as part of a proactive approach aimed at raising the level of readiness and ensuring the smooth implementation of Ramadan initiatives.
This comes within the framework of its role in organizing and supporting charitable and humanitarian work in the Emirate of Dubai, and based on its orientation to be closest to society and enhance direct communication with donors and charitable entities, in preparation for the blessed month of Ramadan 1447 AH.
Executive Director of the Charitable Work Sector, Muhammad Musabih Dhahi, said that this step embodies the department’s keenness to approach the community, understand its needs, and enable donors, associations, and charitable institutions to plan early for their Ramadan initiatives, ensuring that iftar meals are provided to those who are fasting in accordance with the approved procedures and applicable regulatory controls.
He stressed that the department continues to develop its procedures and services in a way that enhances proactiveness and institutional flexibility and contributes to facilitating the customers’ journey and raising the efficiency of charitable work, in line with the vision of the Emirate of Dubai in consolidating the values ​​of giving and community solidarity.
The department called on parties wishing to implement iftar initiatives for fasting people to adhere to the approved controls and submit permit applications in a timely manner, stressing that it will continue to provide the necessary support and guidance to ensure the success of Ramadan campaigns.
