Gulf Air Group signs a memorandum of understanding with INJAZ Bahrain Foundation for Youth Empowerment

Gulf Air Group, the national aviation group of the Kingdom of Bahrain, has signed a two-year Memorandum of Understanding with INJAZ Bahrain, a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring ambitious Bahraini youth and honing their professional skills in order to prepare them to enter the global market.

This agreement, which includes Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and Bahrain Airport Company, the entity responsible for operating and managing Bahrain International Airport, embodies the Gulf Air Group’s commitment to its social responsibility and its investment in empowering youth and developing young talents.

Her Highness Sheikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of INJAZ Bahrain, expressed her pleasure at the launch of this constructive partnership with the Gulf Air Group, stressing that this cooperation embodies the shared commitment to empowering Bahraini youth and providing them with the skills and opportunities they need to succeed in a world witnessing rapid changes. Her Highness added that this partnership aims, through concerted efforts, to bring about a positive, sustainable change in the lives of students by honing their leadership skills and innovative abilities that qualify them to become future pioneers and active contributors to the prosperity of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

For his part, Gulf Air Group CEO, Mr. Jeffrey Goh, stressed the importance of this partnership with INJAZ Bahrain, which reflects the group’s firm commitment to investing in the future of education and empowering national competencies. He pointed out that, by investing in the next generation of entrepreneurs, the group not only fulfills its social responsibility, but also contributes to creating an incubating environment for creativity and innovation, and contributes to advancing national economic development.

The terms of the memorandum of understanding for this comprehensive cooperation stipulate that INJAZ Bahrain will provide basic resources and expertise, while Gulf Air Group, Gulf Air, and Bahrain Airport Company will jointly provide forty volunteers annually, who will in turn provide programs and training courses in schools and universities. Furthermore, this partnership will see the preparation and delivery of three specialized programs annually by the three partners.
