Abu Dhabi Book Fair embraces "The visual culture session and its impact on the formation of awareness"
Abu Dhabi, 29, Appoel / WAM / Diwan Publishing House organized a discussion session entitled “The visual culture and its impact on the formation of awareness in which a number of writers and artists participated in the framework of the activities of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, and on the occasion of the issuance of the second edition of the book” Education Time of Repeating “by Sheikha Al -Yazia Bint Nahyan Al Nahyan, the first ambassador of Arab Culture of the Arab Organization for Education, Culture and Science” ALCO “.
Participated in the session, which was attended by the writer and poet Sheikha Mason Saqr Al Qasimi, the visual artist and graphic designer Karim Adam, designer of the book cover, and the dialogue was moderated Povo Studios, a number of media professionals and intellectuals.
The book deals with many topics and ideas about Arab and international culture, society and arts, and it is drawn from various cognitive sources, highlighting many examples and quotes from Arab heritage, in order to provide examples of “coffin”, a term that the author uses to express the state of psychological confusion and exclamation experienced by the contemporary Arab community.
The session dealt with many issues and axes, the most important of which are: the effect of the visual language and the visual narration on contemporary culture, as the visual language has become a major tool for the transmission of ideas, the formation of identities, the influence on public opinion, and awareness of the effect of the visual language.
The session included a reading of paragraphs from the classroom classroom classes to review how the image affects the collective awareness, the “Memes” phenomenon that spread on social media, where the author deals with it as a rich cultural material that affected the transactions and is increasing Instagram, Tik Talk, and YouTube in understanding the visual narration, the ability to focus and emotional interaction.
