المملكة: On a private tour…the Prime Minister of Italy visits the Al-Hijr area and the heritage landmarks of Al-Ula
Today, Monday, the Prime Minister of the Italian Republic, Mrs. Giorgia Meloni, visited the historic Al-Hijr area in Al-Ula Governorate, accompanied by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Emir of the Medina region, and His Excellency the Minister of Commerce, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, “the accompanying minister.” The Acting CEO of the Royal Commission for Al-Ula Governorate, Abeer Al-Aql, and a number of officials from the Saudi and Italian sides.
Stone Heritage Site
The visit to the Al-Hijr area, which is the first Saudi heritage site registered on the list of the World Heritage, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), included the most prominent archaeological and historical monuments and sites such as: Al-Farid Palace, and other sites dating back thousands of years.
