“Trends” and “Zayed Higher Education for People of Determination” launch the “Al-Waqatha” series in line with the “Year of Community”

The Trends Center for Research and Consultation and the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, in line with the “Year of Community,” launched the “The Document” series project, which represents an innovative step that sheds light on Emirati history through the voices of people of determination.

Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al Ali, CEO of the Trends Center, praised the announcement of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, to designate the year 2025 as the Year of Society. He said that this generous initiative by His Highness embodies the leadership’s vision towards building a cohesive and prosperous society, and will enhance Relationships and consolidating the values ​​of cooperation, belonging and shared experiences, in addition to preserving cultural heritage.

Dr. Al-Ali added that the launch of the Trends and Zayed Foundation document series comes as a translation and in line with this generous initiative, and represents part of the third phase of the Zayed Higher Foundation’s initiative for people of determination, “Gifted Determination.” It will be implemented by presenting 25 short episodes for a period of three months, through which the spotlight will be highlighted. Highlighting the most prominent stations of Emirati history, its figures and cultural landmarks, with the aim of documenting them and inspiring future generations to ensure the continuity of our rich heritage.


He added that the “The Document” series project will enhance the role of people of determination in the fields of media and national documentation, and is a qualitative initiative aimed at highlighting the historical milestones and Emirati personalities who shaped the country’s identity.

In turn, Abdullah Al-Humaidan, Secretary-General of the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, praised the launch of the “Year of Community” 2025 initiative announced by His Highness the President, “may God protect him.”

Al-Humaidan said, “Dedicating the year 2025 as the ‘Year of Community’ is an important step towards strengthening the unity and well-being of UAE society, noting in this context the importance of highlighting the role of people of determination in various fields, especially in the field of culture and media, as they contribute to transferring national heritage and history to the world.” future generations,
Al-Humaidan said: The “The Document” series is not just a documentary project, but it is also a testimony to the will of people of determination to provide value to society. Through this series, light will be highlighted on the most important historical milestones and Emirati personalities who shaped the national identity, reflecting the nobility and heritage in our society, in addition to their great role in strengthening the national identity in various fields.

He stressed that launching this project in the “Year of Community” reflects our continued commitment to enhancing the role of people of determination in UAE society, and enabling them to contribute effectively in various fields, and we invite everyone to participate and benefit from this pioneering project that enhances cultural and historical awareness in our dear homeland. He also explained that this initiative enhances the cohesion of the Emirati society in its various segments. He said that we are certain that this series will be a source of inspiration for the community, to encourage them to appreciate the diversity and unique capabilities possessed by every member of society, including people of determination.

The series covers various topics, including historical stories about the founding leaders, the Emirati cultural heritage, the development of Emirati literature, handicrafts, and prominent historical landmarks such as Al Hosn Palace and Al Jahili Fort.

It includes digital seminars and discussion sessions with the audience to enhance community interaction around the episodes, which contributes to developing the lives of people of determination and enabling them to achieve their full potential.
