The Gulf Cooperation Council renews its condemnation and denunciation of the continued Iranian attacks on the GCC countries

The Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf renewed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the continued Iranian attacks on the Council states, including the deliberate targeting of infrastructure and oil facilities, in flagrant violation of the provisions of international law and international norms, and a direct threat to the security and stability of the region and the safety of global energy supplies.

Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, stressed that the continuation of the attacks clearly reveals the Iranian government’s escalatory approach towards the GCC countries, and is an unacceptable act of aggression that undermines efforts to calm the situation and threatens regional and international security.

He stressed that the Iranian allegations that are trying to hold the GCC countries responsible for any military operations; It is invalid and completely rejected, and is not based on any basis of truth.

He pointed out that the GCC countries are pursuing established policies based on respecting the sovereignty of states, non-interference in their internal affairs, and promoting security and peace at the regional and international levels, stressing that they reserve their full right, guaranteed under Article 51 of the United Nations Charter and the provisions of international law, to take the necessary measures and procedures to protect their security and stability, preserve their capabilities and wealth, and respond to these attacks.

He called on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities in condemning the attacks, taking a firm and deterrent stance, and working to push Iran to immediately comply with Security Council Resolution No. (2817) of 2026, in a way that contributes to stopping these violations and preserving the stability of the region.

He stressed the unity of the GCC countries and their full solidarity in facing any threat that affects their security and interests, reiterating their firm commitment to joint work to enhance the stability of the region and achieve peace for its people.
