Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan said that marine sports, with their various activities and local and international championships, play a pivotal role in promoting these values through the qualitative participation of community members, and the passion for heritage activities and programs, in line with the national identity and ancient maritime history.
He explained that marine sports represent an ideal platform for strengthening ties, communication and acquaintance between various segments of society, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and positive competition, contributing to achieving societal progress, and supporting the cultural diversity of Emirati society.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan announced that the Emirates Marine Sports Federation will ensure, during this year, that its championships and events are part of this national trend, to achieve the vision of the wise leadership that the “Year of Society” be a solid base and bridge for communication, development and national cohesion.
