4 new players join the list of posts in Abu Dhabi Tennis swap
Abu Dhabi, January 28/ WAM/ The Organizing Committee for the Abu Dhabi Open Tennis swap championship for women, “500 points category”, announced that four new players joined the championship, and they are French Caroline Garcia, Japanese Akana Sonop, Czech Marcketta Fondosova, and American Ashler Krogger.
The tournament will be held in its third edition during the first day of February to February 8, organized by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, at the International Tennis Complex in Zayed Sports City.
Garcia, Fundrosova, and Carger were granted the Wild Card invitations to join the main table, while Sonop got a qualifying for an invitation card.
Garcia, Carger and Sonop participated in the last version of the championship and they performed a distinguished performance, as Garcia played a difficult match in the first round against Surna Ceresia, and the match ended in favor of the latter after three equal groups. The final match, and for Sonop, he was lost to Bernarda Bera with two clean groups.
