Abu Dhabi, January 29/ WAM/ The Abu Dhabi City Golf Club announced the update of its visual identity, by adding the phrase “since 1977”, reflecting the legacy of the club, which is one of the founding pillars of modern sporting activities in the United Arab Emirates.
His Excellency Ahmed bin Mohammed Al -Humairi, Chairman of the Club, praised the addition of the date of the establishment of the club’s visual identity, which confirmed that it played a prominent role in the definition of the golf sport in the UAE, where the number of its stadiums exceeded 26 stadiums, and the numbers of its practitioners doubled, and the state became an ideal destination for the stars and heroes of the game from All parts of the world, incubating many international championships, with four national teams representing the state at various ages.
For his part, the club’s CEO, Shihab Al -Sayed Al -Hashemi, said, “The vision of our wise leadership to enhance the vital role of sports always inspire us, and we remain committed to providing a vibrant space for the Abu Dhabi community through the golf experience,” noting that the club was founded in 1977, under the name “Abu Dhabi Club For golf “, with a sandy track of 9 pits, then developed into 18 hole, before in 1998 it turned into a herbal track of 9 pits, under the name” Abu Dhabi Golf and Equestrian Club “, and in 2010 he bore the name” Abu Dhabi City Club of Golf “.
The club includes a variety of facilities according to the best international standards, including a two -level driver stadium, a swimming pool, a sports gym, “tennis” stadiums, and a race track, along with restaurants and cafes, while at the state level, the year 1995 witnessed the establishment of “Emirates Union For the golf “, which works with national clubs closely to spread the game and expand the base of its practitioners of different age groups and nationalities, to attract talented people and qualify them to supply national teams, enabling it to represent the state in regional and international competitions.
