The UAE expresses anxiety about the situation in the Democratic Congo

The UAE has expressed great concern about the developments in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, and called for peace and restoration of stability.

Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, condemned the killing of a number of international peacekeepers deployed in the region.

Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan stressed the need to preserve stability, security, sovereignty and unity of the Democratic Land of the Congo, and the importance of adhering to the ceasefire agreement between the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Republic of Rwanda signed last August.

Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan Al Nahyan also stressed the importance of adhering to a diplomatic solution to build bridges of confidence in order to bring a permanent peace throughout the continent of Africa to achieve the aspirations of the peoples of the continent in peace, stability and prosperity.
