Ukraine strikes a nuclear facility and a refinery of oil in the depth of Russian territory
Ukraine launched an attack targeting an oil refinery in which it caught fire in the depths of Russian territory and a nuclear facility, while Russian officials reported the killing of a woman and her child in an attack with a Ukrainian march on Wednesday.
The Ukrainian attack comes on parts of western Russia as part of the escalation of the two sides, air strikes targeting energy and military facilities with the war approaching its third year.
The strikes intensified after Donald Trump won the US presidential elections at a time when the Republican president is seeking to fight the fastest time.
Replace an attack
Ukraine has reported that it was targeted in one of the oil -strained strikes in the town of Kustovo in the Negney Novgorod area, more than 1000 km from the front line.
Russia reported earlier that the wreckage of the march led to the outbreak of a fire.
“Sibur”, a Petrochemical company that owns the facility, on Telegram, said that “the shrapnel caused by repelling an attack with a march that fell on the Sibor-Kustovo project, which led to the outbreak of a fire.
“Sibor” and the regional ruler confirmed that the firefighters are working, while the firefighters are working to put out the fire.
Pictures spread on social media showed flames and smoke rising over buildings.
Targeting Russian energy facilities
Ukraine previously reported that it targeted Russian energy facilities to obstruct the Russian army Logistia and deny it the revenue that funds Moscow’s military effort.
“While trying to attack a nuclear facility,” the ruler of the Russian Smolnsk region, Vasily Anukhin, was dropping a Ukrainian march, noting that there was no damage or victims.
The ruler did not specify any facility speaking, but the nuclear power plant in Smolnsk is located near the town of Disnogorsk.
