The UAE celebrates the new Chinese year with cultural and recreational events

Abu Dhabi, January 30 / WAM / The celebrations witnessed by the UAE on the occasion of the new Chinese New Year embodied the depth of historical and strategic relations between them and the friendly People’s Republic of China.

The capital, Abu Dhabi, witnessed distinguished celebrations on this occasion; Where the Mother of the Emirates Park hosted a major cultural event organized by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in cooperation with the China Media Group, within the framework of the global celebrations of the new Chinese year; Abu Dhabi was chosen among seven cities around the world to host these celebrations in a move that reflects the durability of bilateral relations and cultural exchange between the two countries, especially after 40 years of establishing diplomatic relations between them.

The Chinese New Year celebrations started on January 24 and will continue until February 2, and are organized by the General Consulate of the People’s Republic of China, and includes six main activities, including electric cars shows and the lanterns festival, which comes within the celebrations of the Chinese Spring Festival, one of the most prominent traditional holidays in this country.

The Dubai Festival and Retail Corporation presented a set of distinguished events that highlighted the Chinese culture, as well as exclusive offers and opportunities to win prizes of 50 thousand dirhams, in addition to luxury cars, and high -end brands participate in the event by providing significant discounts on fashion, cosmetics and electronics .

The festive events included entertainment and cultural performances, most notably a concert for the Paradise Orchestra in “Expo Dubai”, which was organized on January 26, in addition to fireworks and unique cooking experiences, as well as hotel accommodations dedicated to this occasion, allowing guests the opportunity to enjoy an exceptional festive atmosphere.

The Chinese New Year’s celebrations in the Emirates are a prominent annual occasion that provides about 400,000 Chinese residents in the country an opportunity to celebrate this traditional cultural event, and also allows citizens and residents to identify the rich Chinese heritage and its ancient traditions.
