It comes under the slogan "It is important that you know"To enhance the culture of prevention and raise the level of community preparedness to deal with climate fluctuations.

The Directorate stressed the importance of staying away from open spaces during thunderstorms, avoiding standing under trees or metal roofs, taking shelter inside buildings or vehicles, taking caution when moving or practicing outdoor activities, and not ignoring warnings and instructions.

The General Directorate of Civil Defense called for following the safety guidelines and instructions announced through the official media and social networking sites, and calling the two numbers. (911) in the regions of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Medina, Riyadh, and Al-Sharqiyah, and (998) in the rest of the Kingdom’s regions to request assistance in emergency situations.
