المملكة: "Fifth Quran".. The Saudi sky is on a date with an astronomical phenomenon accompanied by climate changes


The Kingdom’s skies tonight witness the conjunction of with the moon, in an astronomical phenomenon called the Arabs ".

It is considered one of the seasonal signs associated with the beginning of the second month of spring, and the accompanying , an increase in plant growth, and an increase in the size of the bubbles during this period.

Fifth of the Tams of Spring

A member of the Astronomy and Space Club, Muhammad Enad Al-Huzaimi, explained that this conjunction is known in popular tradition as "The fifth spring of Tams"indicating improved weather conditions and moderate temperatures.

He pointed out that Tuesday, corresponding to March 24, 2026 AD (Shawwal 5, 1447 AH) marks the beginning of "Fifth Quran"which the people of the desert consider to be an indication that spring has reached its peak.

Climatic shifts

He explained that the duration of this Qur’an extends for about 27 days, during which the atmosphere witnesses noticeable climate shifts, which contribute to the abundance of wild plants and the flourishing of vegetation, in addition to its association with the season of the late weeks of faqa (truffles) in a number of regions of the Kingdom.

The conjunction of the Pleiades with the moon is one of the astronomical phenomena that has attracted the attention of the Arabs. In ancient times, they relied on it to know the seasons and weather fluctuations, and it is still of interest to those interested in astronomy and folklore today, as a natural indicator of the beginning of a new climatic phase.
