Launching the first “Hour of Knowledge” initiatives at King Abdulaziz University

King Abdulaziz University, represented by the General Administration of Library Affairs, launched the first “Hour of Knowledge” initiatives to organize the first meeting entitled: “Reading and Thinking Skills”.
This initiative is an awareness cultural program to support the educational and research process, and to enhance the importance of the book and the integration of science and knowledge, in the life of the library’s pioneers and beneficiaries.

Developing a remembrance skill during reading

This comes by providing meetings with a group of experts who are hosted to speak in the scientific and professional fields.
The first meeting, which hosted the professor of curricula and teaching methods at the University’s Faculty of Education, Dr. Yaan Allah bin Ali Al -Qarni, shed light on the role of reading in the development of thinking, and the development of the skill of remembering during reading.
This is in addition to organizing, arranging and representing the readable information, developing the skill of linking information, and moving from knowledge consumption to knowledge production.

“Qalul Qayyad 2025” competition

A few days ago, King Abdulaziz University concluded the “Qalul Qayyad 2025” competition in its ninth edition in the Kingdom, with the theater of the College of Computers and Information Technology.
The Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information Technology, Dr. Iyad Kateb, and the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Fouad Abu Laban, crowned the winners.
The award for the best game “Beit Forge” was achieved by the student, Fahd Al -Hawas, Muhammad Al -Harbi, and Mohamed Khayat.
