More than 40 thousand visitors… 2.5 million riyals in sales at the Jazan Honey Exhibition


in the square of the Cultural Center in Al-Eidabi Governorate, after continuous economic activity that witnessed a wide demand from visitors and shoppers, recording sales amounting to about 2.5 million riyals, and receiving more than 40 thousand visitors, since its launch on January 29 last.

It witnessed Dozens of beekeepers, producing families, and supporting bodies participated, as the exhibits varied between Sidr, Samra, Qatad, and other honey, in addition to transformative bee products and beekeeping supplies, in a scene that reflected the completion of the value chain from production to marketing.

The beekeepers’ corners recorded a remarkable turnout from visitors and shoppers, supported by introductory programs and live tastings. It contributed to raising consumer awareness of the quality of and its plant characteristics are linked to the diversity of pastoral cover in the mountains and plains of the region.

A number of participants confirmed that the volume of sales achieved this year reflects the development of display and packaging tools, the increased readiness of beekeepers in direct marketing, in addition to the growing presence of local products in the consumer basket, which enhances the sustainability of this promising sector and opens broader horizons for expansion internally and externally.

This movement comes within efforts to support the local economy and empower Beekeepers, in line with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
