The Chinese tourism sector is witnessing record growth during the Spring Festival

BEIJING, January 31 / WAM / The tourism sector in China has recorded standard growth rates during the current spring festival holiday, driven by a package of government initiatives and the festival in the World Heritage List.
The e -travel platform data, which was reported by the Central China TV, showed a 30% increase in travel reservations during the first two days of the holiday, compared to the same period last year.
The tourism services sector witnessed a remarkable growth, as tourist attractions and car rental services were 70%, while air and land transport services and the hospitality sector achieved growth rates exceeding 10%.
It is noteworthy that the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization “UNESCO” included on the fourth of December 2024 the social practices of the Spring Festival within the representative list of the infinite cultural heritage of humanity, which strengthened the festival’s tourism.
Government initiatives of expanding the visa exemption and simplifying the procedures for enhancing the incoming tourism rates contributed, as the main ports in Beijing, Shanghai and the Ganojdong-Hong Kong-Mawko Gallest area were registered as a density in the movement of passengers.
