The Ministry of Education obliged government and private secondary school students to adhere to the national dress (garment, ghutra or shemagh) for the Saudis, and to adhere to wearing the garment for non -Saudis, and this is excluded from foreign school students.
This comes as an implementation of the directing of His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister – may God protect him – of the need to pay attention to the values ​​of education and enhance the affiliation of national students.

The authentic Saudi identity

The order issued by His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, to commit public education students to wear the national dress (the dress and the shemagh / ghutra) inside the Kingdom’s schools, based on the keenness of his generous position to link the current and future generations to the authentic Saudi identity.
The interest of His Highness the Crown Prince – may God preserve him – stems from the issue of highlighting the national identity, from his pride in the originality of the national heritage and the necessity of preserving it and introducing the world to it, and the characteristics of cultural and cultural richness that reflects the depth of the association of Saudi identity with the land of the Arabian Peninsula.

The strengthening of individuals ’association with their national identity, especially for young and young, is one of the means aimed at protecting, maintaining and fortifying them against any threats or projects that seek to dilute or dissolve them.
