A ministerial meeting in Cairo, with the participation of the Emirates, confirms the support of the ceasefire and the reconstruction of Gaza

Today, Cairo witnessed a meeting at the level of foreign ministers at the invitation of the Arab Republic of Egypt, in which all the United Arab Emirates, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Qatar and the Arab Republic of Egypt participated in addition to the Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization for the State of Palestine and the Secretary -General of the League of Arab States.
The meeting welcomed the conclusion of the ceasefire in Gaza and the exchange of hostages and detainees, and praised the efforts made by Egypt and Qatar in this regard..
During the meeting, the ministers stressed the support of efforts to ensure the implementation of the agreement in all its stages, to a full calm, while ensuring the sustainability of the ceasefire, and to secure the arrival of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip without obstacle, including the removal of all obstacles in front of the entry of aid, the requirements of recovery, rehabilitation, and the withdrawal of forces The entire Israeli, and rejected any attempts to divide the sector.
The ministers stressed the need to enable the Palestinian Authority to take over its duties in Gaza as part of the occupied Palestinian territories alongside the West Bank and East Jerusalem, allowing the international community to address the humanitarian catastrophe that the sector was exposed to due to the Israeli aggression, stressing the pivotal role of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees. UNRWA ”and rejected any attempts to overcome it or reduce its role.
The meeting stressed the importance of the concerted efforts of the international community to implement a comprehensive plan to rebuild the Gaza Strip as soon as possible, to ensure that the Palestinians remain in their land and improve their living conditions, and to address the effects of internal displacement.
The ministers expressed their full support for the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and their adherence to their legitimate rights in accordance with international law, with the rejection of any measures that affect these rights, whether through settlement activities, expulsion, or house demolitions, or the inclusion of lands, or forced displacement, because of the threat to regional stability. And undermining the opportunities for peace and coexistence.
The meeting welcomed Egypt’s intention, in cooperation with the United Nations, to host an international conference for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip at the appropriate time with the appeal of the international community and the donors to contribute to this effort.
The meeting called on the international community, especially the international and regional powers and the Security Council, to start the actual implementation of the two -state solution, in a manner that ensures the treatment of the roots of tension in the Middle East, the achievement of a fair settlement of the Palestinian issue, and the embodiment of the Palestinian state over its entire national soil, in the context of the Gaza Strip and the West Bank unity East Jerusalem, according to international legitimacy decisions and the fourth lines of June 1967.
In this context, the ministers affirmed the support of the upcoming international conference headed by Saudi Arabia and France in June 2025, aimed at activating the two -state solution.
It is worth noting that the meeting comes within the framework of regional and international efforts to enhance stability in the region and achieve a fair and comprehensive settlement of the Palestinian issue.
