Trump signs an order to impose fees on the imports of Mexico, Canada and China

On Saturday, US President Donald Trump signed an order to impose harsh customs duties on imports from Mexico, Canada and China Levi with his electoral promise, but he raises the possibility of price increases on American consumers.
Trump declared an economic emergency to impose 10% fees on all imports from China and 25% on imports from Mexico and Canada – the largest US trading partners – with the exception of Canadian oil, which will be a 10% fee.

The White House said that Trump’s order also includes a mechanism for increasing fees if countries carry out retaliatory measures against the United States, according to what they threatened.
Trump stated that the fees aim to force countries to do more to stop the flow of narcotic fentanel to the United States, but it is also in line with Trump’s adoption of protective measures to enhance local manufacturing and as a source of federal government revenues.
