The Judicial Department of Abu Dhabi announced that it has achieved a new qualitative achievement in the global judicial indicators related to the time periods of litigation, with an average of 40 days for the number of days of dismissal in the preliminary courts and 34 days in the courts of appeal during the past year 2024, which reflects the pioneering efforts made by the department to achieve Evangelical justice and contributing to promoting the global competitive position of the emirate.

This came during the media forum of the Judicial Department, which was held today remotely through visual communication technologies, to highlight the annual report of the Judicial Department in Abu Dhabi, under the title “Pioneering Achievements of Justice that looks forward to the future”, within the framework of enhancing the principle of transparency and highlighting the continuous efforts made by the circle The judiciary is to consolidate a leading judicial and domain system, based on creativity, innovation and excellence in providing services.

Important achievements

The Director of the Strategic Planning and Institutional Development Department in the Judicial Department-Abu Dhabi, Abdullah Saif Zahran, explained that the year 2024 witnessed many important achievements, which embody the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, President of the Presidential Bureau, The head of the Judicial Department in Abu Dhabi, in enhancing the efficiency and sustainability of the judicial system, in a way that keeps pace with future developments and achieves the completed justice.

Abdullah Zahran reviewed the most prominent pioneering achievements achieved by the Judicial Department during the year 2024, and the statistics contained in the annual report, in addition to the strategic initiatives that contributed to the consolidation of a advanced judicial system, by accelerating litigation procedures, adopting digital solutions, and supporting institutional excellence in various sectors.

Abdullah Zahran pointed out that last year’s statistics for all courts and departments in Abu Dhabi with various elementary litigation, appeal and cassation, showed the increase in the number of cases referred from registration and preparation last year by 25.18%, reaching 265 thousand and 458 cases, compared to the year 2023, which amounted to 212 thousand And 61 cases, indicating that despite this rise, the department succeeded in maintaining a separation rate of 98.73%.

Report of vital operations

In addition, the report of the vital operations of the department in 2024 showed that more than 916 thousand and 510 judicial requests were completed, distributed over 804 thousand and 839 requests before the courts, and 111 thousand and 671 requests before the prosecution, in addition to holding 602 thousand and 568 trial sessions through visual communication In criminal and civil issues.

With regard to the services of the Civil Family Issues Court in 2024, the number of civil marriage transactions reached 14 thousand and 974 transactions, an increase of 27% compared to 2023, in addition to 5446 transactions related to civil commandments, an increase of 83% compared to the previous year.

The Public Prosecution in Abu Dhabi also issued 31,902 criminal orders, in addition to 181 thousand and 603 criminal rulings, while the number of cases spent from the prosecution reached 234 thousand and 215 cases.

With regard to the services of the notary and documentation, the annual report of the Judicial Department in Abu Dhabi showed the year 2024, the completion of 84 thousand and 183 transactions for the general justice writer, an increase of 6% compared to 2023, 64 thousand and 281 documentation transactions, 17 thousand and 672 transactions for the private justice writer, an increase of 16.7% .

The annual report of the department revealed that customer complaints decreased during 2024, by 42% compared to the previous year, thanks to the procedures and pre -emptive services that the Judicial Department continues to develop.
