Salem bin Abdul Rahman Al Qasimi visits Al -Warraqin Festival activities

Sharjah, February 6/ WAM/ Sheikh Salem bin Abdul Rahman Al Qasimi, Head of the Office of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, visited the activities of the “ninth session” of the Al -Warraqin Festival for the Book, organized by the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services until the ninth of this month in the palm garden on the banks of Lake Khaled In Sharjah, under the slogan “When the books live … the future stories are written.”

Sheikh Salem bin Abdul Rahman Al Qasimi briefed during the visit a group of valuable books in its various categories, in addition to the most important activities accompanying the festival.

Sheikh Salem bin Abdul Rahman was accompanied during the visit, His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah bin Hillis Al -Ketbi, Chairman of the Municipal Council for the Al -Battah Zone, His Excellency Mona Abdul Karim Al -Yafi, Director General of Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services, and His Excellency Abdullah bin Sallouma Al Ketbi, Director of the Municipality of Al -Battaat.

The festival continues for the second consecutive day with a distinguished participation of public benefit societies, governmental and private agencies, schools, universities, diplomatic missions, in addition to community institutions, categories and individuals, while its artistic and cultural activities continued amid a remarkable turnout from school students and community.

In the exhibition of paintings organized by the Art for All Center, “Falaj”, visitors were briefed on the creations of artists affiliated with “Falaj”, which expressed their drawings of many social and personal topics.

In the corner of “Muslim scholars and writers”, which the Al -Battah municipality contributed to its organization, visitors were briefed on the history of a number of Arab and Muslim scholars and writers, and enjoyed the poems and literary clips and participated in interactive activities, such as coloring the map drawn by the Arab world “Al -Idrisi”.
