200 thousand people … drifting to the right in Germany ignites demonstrations
Thus, the number of participants in this demonstration reached a much greater level than it was initially expected.
Demonstrations against the right in Germany
The organizers estimated the number of participants in the demonstration at more than 320,000 people.
A police spokesman said that everything is going in peace so far, and men, women and children flocked to large numbers to the “Teresinsmée” square in Munich.
Many also raised banners reading phrases such as “fascism does not fight deportation”, “racism and hatred is not an alternative”, “multiple colors instead of brown (the Nazi party slogan)” and “the ban of the alternative party now”.
One of the preachers from Austria warned of the repetition of the scenario that occurred in his country in neighboring Germany, where the right -wing Austrian Freedom Party and the “Austrian People” party are negotiating to form a government coalition.
Support different parties
The demonstration called for diversity, human dignity, solidarity and democracy, with the support of completely different parties of society.
However, the head of the Bavarian Christian Social Party branch in Munich and the Bavarian Minister of Justice, George Eisnraish, avoided participating in the demonstration.
This was justified in advance that he is expected to express anti -Christian union policy (which consists of the Christian Democratic Party and its younger brother, the Bavarian Christian Party) on asylum and immigration.
