Iraq condemns the provocative Israeli statements towards Saudi Arabia

Iraq announced its strong condemnation and condemnation of provocative statements issued by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding the establishment of a Palestinian state on the lands of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In a statement issued today, the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed “its categorical rejection of these statements, which constitute a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and an attack on the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, as well as violating the rules of international law and the United Nations Charter.”

The Ministry expressed Iraq’s full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, confirming its steadfast position in supporting security, stability and sovereignty of states.

The Iraqi Foreign Ministry statement stressed that prejudice to the national sovereignty of any country is completely rejected.
