The conclusion of the 19th edition of the Sharjah Poetry Festival
Sharjah, February 11/ WAM/ The Cultural Center in Kalba in Sharjah concluded yesterday evening the activities of the 19th edition of the Sharjah Poetry Festival, which was organized by the Department of Culture in Sharjah during the period from 3 to 10 February.
The closing ceremony of the festival was attended by Sheikh Saeed bin Saqr bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Ruler’s Office in Khorfakkan, and Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Ruler’s Office in Kalba.
The activities witnessed the organization of nine poetry evenings, including a poetry session devoted to poets from the Arab world, and a symposium discussed the literary march of the honored poets in this year’s session of the festival, Zaal bin Obaid bin Sarhan Al -Ghafli and Awad bin Rashid in the seventen.
During the closing evening, the poet and the Umrabah player, Obaid Al -Shawin, presented expressive mourners who sang in Sharjah and the fingerprints of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah in cultural work at the level of the Arab world and other emotional players.
The poet Abdullah Al -Ajouri from Jordan also presented a number of poems that were covered by the feelings of joy in olives and Ghaf as two trees carrying love and peace, as he gave poems in His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, while the Omani poet Ahmed Al -Mashani presented poems in wisdom and good characteristics, and the Iraqi poet Khaled Al -Nabhan gave poems with a sense Badawi praised Sharjah and caring for culture and creativity.
The Emirati poet Hassan Al -Obaidli read poems proud of Sharjah and “The Sultan of Culture”. Finally, the Saudi poet “Anoud Al -Wasli” read poems carried by the grapes of women, travel and original relations between Saudi Arabia and the Emirates, confirming the value of culture and its prospects that His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah is keen.
