The delivery sector in the Kingdom witnessed a remarkable growth during the year 2024, and the total requests reached 290 million in various regions of the Kingdom; This embodies the continuous expansion in the logistical services market and the increasing demand for rapid and flexible delivery solutions, in light of the presence of 61 licensed companies from the Public Transport Authority to work in the application of applications.

Total requests in regions

The Riyadh region topped the total requests with more than 130.5 million requests, equivalent to 45%, followed by the Makkah Al -Mukarramah region with a total of 65.4 million requests, equivalent to 22.7%, then the eastern region with 43.2 million requests, with 15%, as Al -Madinah Al -Munawwarah region recorded 12.3 million requests, equivalent to 4.3%, and the Asir region 9.4 million requests, equivalent to 3.2%, followed by the Qassim region 8.5 million requests, equivalent The equivalent of 1.8%, the Hail region is 4.1 million requests, equivalent to 1.4%, and the Jazan region 3.3 million requests, equivalent to 1.1%, while the rest of the requests were distributed to other areas according to the population density and the size of the demand for delivery services.

Growth promotion factors

The authority attributed this growth to several major factors, the most prominent of which is the development of systems and legislation that enabled companies to provide quality and efficiency services, enhance digital infrastructure, and support innovation in the logistical services sector, which contributed to improving the speed of response to customer requests and raising the level of competitiveness in the market.
The change of consumer behavior and increased dependence on e -commerce also helped enhance the demand for delivery services, as well as continuous investments in developing modern technical solutions and automating operational operations, which directly reflected in raising the efficiency of delivery and improving customer experience.
