Trump’s trends lead the region to a direct confrontation between the Arabs and Israel

The Secretary -General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, warned of the policies followed by US President Donald Trump, and the strong pressures he exerted on the Arab world, as his trends may lead the region to a new confrontation in the Arab -Israeli conflict, stressing that the results of any confrontation will be dire and threatening Brave everything that has been achieved through peace agreements.
Aboul Gheit’s statements came during the “Arab World Case” session, which was held within the work of the World Summit of Governments 2025, in which Jassem Al -Badawi, Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab Gulf States, was also directed by political analyst Imad Al -Din Adib.

During his speech, Aboul Gheit criticized the recent American decisions related to the forced displacement plan for the Palestinians, considering that these policies cancel the role of international organizations and impose a new reality that cannot be accepted.
He said: “The United States must adopt more balanced positions, as the settlement of the conflict in the Middle East cannot be by eradicating the Palestinian people from their land.”
He also warned that forcing the Palestinians to leave their lands will lead to the transfer of the conflict to a global scope, stressing that the Palestinians will defend their rights “from any spot.”
Official
On the position of the League of Arab States on the recent events in Gaza, Aboul Gheit stressed that the university will issue an official statement confirming its support for the two -state solution, and its rejection of the Gaza evacuation plan, while supporting Egyptian and Jordanian positions rejecting American proposals.
He added, “It is not permissible to cancel the right of the Palestinian people to enjoy sovereignty on their land … This is unacceptable,” stressing the need to achieve a fair settlement that guarantees the two -state solution, establishing a regional space that supports economic growth, and gives Palestinians their legitimate rights.
Calls to end the crisis and the reconstruction of Gaza
Aboul Gheit emphasized that the priority now should be to end the current crisis, in conjunction with plans to rehabilitate and reconstruct the Gaza Strip, especially after the destruction it has caused in recent years.
He also stressed the importance of the agreement of prisoners and hostages, stressing that it is a vital necessity to avoid the renewal of the bombing, and to protect stability in the region.
With regard to the internal Palestinian situation, the Secretary-General of the Arab League hinted to the necessity of achieving an internal Palestinian consensus, stressing that “the Palestinian people are the most in need of Arab and Arab-Palestinian consensus.”
Fixed position and support for the rights of the Palestinians
For his part, Jassem Al -Badawi, Secretary -General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab Gulf States, stressed that the principles of the Gulf states on the Palestinian issue have not and will not change, stressing that the Palestinian issue remains a fundamental priority for the Cooperation Council.
Al -Badawi said: “The right of the Palestinian people to self -determination and the return of refugees is a fixed principle, and we work according to this framework.”
He pointed out that the United States remains a major mediator in the region, and realizes the importance of the security and stability of the Middle East, explaining that the Gulf states have strategic alliances with the United States, but at the same time it works to ensure the application of international legitimacy in dealing with the Palestinian issue.
He added: “We are optimistic and deal with matters with wise and wisdom, and we are seeking a unified Arab position aimed at obtaining the Palestinian people on their legitimate rights.”
A unified Arab position in the face of escalation
