Dubai February 13/ WAM/ The activities of the World Summit of Governments 2025 witnessed the organization of a round ministerial table on global sustainable development goals, entitled Virtue of 2045 with comprehensive paths towards sustainable development, which brought together a group of leaders and government officials at the global and national levels, in an open dialogue, confirmed During their joint commitment to drawing long -term strategies, it depends on innovation and advanced technology to support global development agendas.
They stressed the necessity of adopting a proactive approach based on smart anticipation and strategic planning to ensure a more sustainable and comprehensive future by 2045.
The meeting came in response to the unprecedented challenges facing global societies, which requires strengthening international efforts and stimulating practical steps in line with global dialogue and focusing on knowledge exchange between ministers and government leaders, and setting an ambitious unified agenda to support the achievement of developmental development for 2030, in the presence of ministers from several countries Including India, Canada, Uzbekistan, Brunei, Dar Al Salam, Jordan, Kyrgyzstan, Kosovo, Crischel, Madagascar, Malta, South Africa, the Philippines, Mongolia and Latvia, representatives of international organizations such as the International Renewable Energy Agency (Irina), and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
The meeting witnessed a prominent Emirati presence, which included His Excellency Hessa Bouhamid, Director General of the Community Development Authority in Dubai, and was managed by His Excellency Abdullah Nasser Lootah, Assistant Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Competitiveness and Knowledge Exchange and Chairman of the National Committee for Sustainable Development Goals, Vice President of Global Councils for Sustainable Development Goals, as included Both Abdullah Al Saleh, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy for Foreign Trade and Industry Affairs, His Excellency Razan Khalifa Al Mubarak, President of the International Federation for the Preservation of Nature and UN Climate, His Excellency Muhammad Saeed Al Nuaimi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, and His Excellency Dr. Sheikha Al Dhaheri, Secretary General of the Environment Authority – Abu Dhabi, And His Excellency Omar Al -Suwaidi, Head of the Executive and Sustainable Office Department in ADNOC, His Excellency Dr. Amer Sharif, CEO of Dubai Academic Health Foundation, Dr. Manal Tarim, CEO of Nour Dubai Foundation, and His Excellency Mohamed Al Shamsi, Chief Sustainability and Climate Change Officer in the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority.
The high -level meeting discussed the outcomes of the progress report made in the sustainable development goals issued by the United Nations, which indicated the importance of overcoming current obstacles and starting to develop a comprehensive global vision that extends after 2030, by enhancing long -term strategies to meet the growing global challenges such as climate change, Technological justice, and demographic transformations.
Abdullah Lootah said that the National Committee launched the round ministerial table platform for development goals “xdgs 2045” at the World Government Summit in an ambitious vision that exceeds 2030, and a pre -emptive step inspired by the legacy of the Millennium Development Goals and Sustainable Development Goals, to form a qualitative leap towards a comprehensive and sustainable future future .
He added that the future that we aspire to, cannot be built with individual efforts, but rather with everyone’s solidarity within fruitful participatory frameworks, in which we put the basis for a global movement in which development becomes fair and opportunities are available to everyone without exception.
For his part, His Excellency Balfour Hino, Minister of Information and Communications Technology of Colombia, said that the mechanisms and techniques of artificial intelligence and mega data can be a strong weapon in the face of poverty, provide sustainable education, and ensure energy for all, provided that it is employed to serve humanity and to bring about a fundamental transformation, instead It becomes a way to deepen economic and social gaps.
His Excellency Mukhtar Babayev, President of COP29, Special Envoy of the President of the Republic for Climate Affairs in Azerbaijan, said that facing the climate crisis requires effective partnerships, and therefore fair solutions were employed in COP29 to finance sustainable development, and we have proven that countries can reach a unified agreement, and that partnerships Multilateral is able to achieve positive results.
He expressed his pride in continuing to work alongside the UAE on global priorities, because together we make a greater impact that exceeds the limits of individual capabilities.
In the same context, His Excellency Razan Khalifa Al -Mubarak said: “Our responsibility to protect nature is not merely an optional consideration of our journey towards global development; rather, it is an essential pillar to ensure our progress and success – for the climate, our welfare, and the health of our planet.”
