STC Bahrain holds a memorandum of understanding with the global company ‘Fortinet’ to launch the first sovereign safe access service in the Kingdom

STC Bahrain, the possibility, has entered into a memorandum of understanding with the company ‘Fortinet’, the global company specialized in cybersecurity solutions, with the aim of cooperating to launch the first sovereign security access service (Sovereign Secure Access Service in the Kingdom of Bahrain. This memorandum comes in line with the Kingdom’s Economic Vision 2030, to find a safe digital economy and enhance the march of digital transformation in the Kingdom.
This cooperation aims to integrate Stc Bahrain’s infrastructure with the security technology of ‘Fortinet to provide a safe digital environment that meets the requirements of the Bahraini market.
The company also intends through this cooperation to give Bahraini companies important benefits, most notably enhancing data protection and control, while ensuring its sovereignty within the Kingdom.
Data storing locally contributes to reducing the risk of unauthorized access, which enhances confidence in customers and stakeholders, as well as facilitating compliance with local regulations and legislation, which gives institutions safety in managing their digital data. In addition to the above, the service enhances the efficiency of cyber networks and security by combining many solutions into a unified cloud platform. Given its dependence on advanced cloud computing techniques, the service gives the business sector high and expanding, in a way that enables it to keep pace with the growing requirements and support the work environment remotely. This partnership also aims to provide an affordable service due to its dispensation with the traditional infrastructure based on regular devices to provide protection, which enhances the effectiveness and efficiency of network management.
