Continuing its pressure against Moscow .. Britain imposes sanctions against 4 Russian officials
This comes in the latest campaign against the Kremlin, in the wake of its complete invasion of Ukraine.
British sanctions against Russia
Foreign Minister David Lami said that his country wanted to continue to pressure Russian President Vladimir Putin, with Russian Defense Secretary Pavel Faradkov between the targets.
Lami linked the sanctions and the work of Alexei Navalny, the leader of the Russian opposition who died in the Arctic prison last year in mysterious circumstances.
A meeting between Lami and his widow, Yulia Navalney, is scheduled to be held at the Munich Security Conference.

He said in a statement: “After nearly a year has passed since the death of Alexei Navalny, I am honored to meet Yulia Navalny and clarified our commitment to weaken Putin’s attempts to suppress the political opposition and address the corrupt transactions of the worlds in the world.”
He added: “We invite our friends and allies to continue to intensify efforts in the face of the ongoing Russian aggression.”
The statements of the British minister following the talks of US President Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, regarding the Russian invasion, while Trump announced that they had agreed to start talks on Ukraine soon.
These developments have caused Kyiv’s concern and European allies that the agreement can be completed without their knowledge.
Russian military activity
The British Foreign Ministry indicated that the recent sanctions that impose the freezing of assets and the travel ban, targeting three Russians and responded in the “Navalney 50” list of personalities accused of corruption.
London said it is targeting Vladimir Celine, head of the Russian Defense Ministry branch, and Artem Chikika, whose company supports Russian state -owned business.
The ministry added that the sanctions are also targeting two entities linked to the Russian giant nuclear energy company Rosatom, which supports Russian military activity in the battlefield in Ukraine.
