American penny .. a friend of the sellers and the simple on its way to disappear

The new US government is heading to cancel the penny or “cent” of the currency categories, the “dollar 100 cents”, and US President Donald Trump adopted this idea when he said that he directed the Treasury Department, which oversees the currency mint, by ending the issuance of penny.

But most of the opponents of the idea are the simple and the sellers, as Nour Ismail, who works as a seller in a Manhattan store, sees that the few pennies that gather inside the Treachers Fund at the end of the day, are mostly the outcome of the customers and not a reward for them for good service.
The annual report of the Currency House, according to Reuters, indicates that the cost of one penny last year amounted to 3.69 cents, an increase of about 20% over 2023 due to the cost of materials, including zinc.
