Lig Nex1 Korean enhances its defense cooperation with the Emirates

Abu Dhabi, February 17 / WAM / Hyunbin Hong, Vice President of the South Korean Lig Nex1 business company, confirmed that the company has a long history of cooperation with its partners in the Emirates extending for more than a decade.
This cooperation resulted in the development of many defense systems for the benefit of customers and users in the country, the most prominent of which are air defense systems and long -range anti -tank missile systems.
He pointed out that the company’s approach is not only dependent on the relationship of the buyer and the seller, but rather is based on building a strategic partnership based on confidence, technology and local production.
He added that Lig Nex1 seeks to enhance its presence inside the Emirates by transferring technical knowledge and providing integrated services that support the national defensive sector.
On the position of the Middle East in the Lig Nex1 strategy, Hong stressed that the region is a very promising market, indicating that the UAE occupies the leadership position in this field.
He added that the company seeks to expand its cooperation to include other countries in the region, such as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Bahrain, considering that these partnerships will contribute to supporting the company’s spread globally and enhancing its position in the international defense market.
On the importance of artificial intelligence in the defense sector, Hong explained that artificial intelligence has become an essential element in developing modern defense systems.
But he pointed out that this field still faces great challenges, most notably the need for huge databases, stressing that most of the defense information is classified as confidential, which makes it difficult to provide sufficient data to develop systems based on artificial intelligence effectively.
He revealed that Lig Nex1 works with international partners and partners in the Emirates, to develop advanced artificial intelligence systems.
He stressed that continuous cooperation will enable the company to collect sufficient data, which contributes to developing defensive solutions based on artificial intelligence in cooperation with the Emirates.
On the participation of Lig Nex1 at the “IDEX” exhibition, Hong stressed that the company is working on a number of agreements and deals, but it cannot reveal the details at the present time.
He added that the exhibition represents an important opportunity to review the latest defense technologies and communicate with potential partners, noting that those interested can follow the official ads of the company during the event to learn more about its future plans in the region.
