Dubai Municipality offers its latest digital food safety services in "Gulfood 2025"

Dubai, February 17 / WAM / Dubai Municipality, during its participation in the thirtieth edition of the Gulf Food Show “Glevoud 2025”, is the largest annual food and beverage exhibition in the world, which was launched today at the Dubai World Trade Center, its latest innovative digital services and its qualitative initiatives aimed at Facilitating food trade in the region and ensuring the highest food safety standards in the Emirate of Dubai.
The list of initiatives and services of the Dubai Municipality at the Gulf Food Exhibition includes several projects, including the UPS system, which was developed to suit the requirements of customers integrating with the food inspection system, in a way that enhances compliance with the requirements of food safety and provides the time required to complete permits of all kinds.
The system includes an integrated digital digital window for all the main services of Dubai Municipality, so that the automatic approvals for facilitated and smooth permits are and saving time and resources.
The system contributed to a qualitative development of three main services by reducing the service period of service by 75 percent, from 40 minutes to 10 minutes and the speed of completion of requests by 65 percent from 30 minutes to 10 minutes.
Dubai Municipality also offers a “Plus Products” system, which is an integrated system for regulating product trading under the umbrella of food, health and safety, which includes a database containing more than 1.7 million registered products, which contributes to enhancing the import and export of products with high efficiency.
The system displays all services as an integrated journey for the customer and not as independent services that include three stages: registration, import and export, and the system plan was created and designed after conducting standard comparisons with more than 12 entities at the regional and global levels where the system is characterized by high flexibility in continuous improvement based on feedback and notes Users.
Dr. Naseem Mohamed Rafi, Executive Director of the Environment, Health and Safety Corporation in the Dubai Municipality, said that the Gulf Food Exhibition provides an important opportunity to present the efforts of the Dubai Municipality to the World Food and Drinks Society, and the meeting point is the gathering of researchers and experts to enhance constructive cooperation, exchange global experiences, and to offer and adopt innovative ideas Building partnerships that contribute to developing the food sector at the regional and global levels.
She added that the municipality highlights during the exhibition on its initiatives to enhance the sustainability and safety of the food system while ensuring the provision of flexible food supply chains in addition to reviewing its digital services that it provides to large segments of dealers to facilitate their work with the lowest steps and fastest tools.
It should be noted that during the year 2024 Dubai Municipality completed the inspection of 461,875 food containers containing about two million food products, as part of its continuous plans and efforts to control the food trading sector in a manner that ensures the provision of healthy and high quality food products.
The Gulf Food Show celebrates its thirtieth edition with the participation of more than 5,500 exhibitors from 129 countries and will provide a global platform for innovation and constructive dialogues with more than 150 hours of educational sessions on the latest trends in the food sector.
