Expo Dubai and Heriot University are cooperating to create a robotarium Emirates

Expo Dubai has announced a partnership with the University of Heriot Watt to establish a robotarium -United Arab Emirates – an advanced research and development center that focuses on robots and artificial intelligence, based in Expo – which will contribute to pushing technological progress and enhancing the position of the United Arab Emirates as a global leading country in the field of innovation.

The partnership agreement was signed in the presence of Dr. Thani Al -Zyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade; Richard Lockheed, Minister of Business in Scotland; Edward Hobart, the British Ambassador to the Emirates, was signed by Naguib Mohamed Al -Ali, Executive Director of Expo Dubai and Hareg McGregor, Dean and Deputy Director of the University of Heriot Wat Dubai.

The Research Center will work to combine creators from various sectors, and startups in the field of robots and artificial intelligence will embrace innovative technologies and highlight automation applications in various aspects of urban life.

According to the partnership, the city of Expo will sponsor a batch of candidates for a PhD at the PhD Center at Heriot University, which guarantees a steady flow of talents and competencies to develop original intellectual property, develop technical skills and form the basic pillars of this leading initiative.

Naguib Mohamed Al -Ali, Executive Director of Expo Dubai said: In the country, the best talents to pay projects and solutions that benefit societies and improve the quality of urban life, support the Dubai Economic Agency (D33) and the position of the United Arab Emirates as a center for global innovation.

Professor Heather McGregor, Dean and Deputy Director of the University of Heriot Wat Dubai, said: The United Arab Emirates, and we are continuing to enhance our commitment to academic and research excellence.

The United Arab Emirates robotarium will enhance the country’s knowledge -based economy and enhance global competitiveness in the field of artificial intelligence and robots, and to contribute to the UAE strategy for artificial intelligence, the national innovation strategy, and the national industry and advanced technology strategy known as the 300 billion project.
